Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will play a vital role in supporting a Contract Management Team (CMT) responsible for overseeing the Systems Engineering Support (SES) contract. Reporting to the Business Finance Officer and the Operations Manager, this role encompasses a diverse range of Project Services support, including Accounts Receivable (AR) billing, travel management, and financial operations.
Project Services Responsibilities:
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of government contracting principles.
- Manage Estimates to Complete (ETC) and Estimates at Completion (EAC), along with project tracking and reporting.
- Familiarize yourself with the Operational Budget.
- Oversee the management of the Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL).
- Prepare and deliver Profit Analysis reports to Project/Program Managers and upper management.
- Handle financial data entry and timecard importation tasks.
- Manage Charge Codes effectively.
- Provide additional support for Project Management functions, including travel arrangements.
- Process travel requests and reimbursement submissions for Accounts Payable (AP) payment.
Billing and Accounting Duties:
- Process and submit Accounts Receivable (AR) billing.
- Facilitate the submission of Accounts Payable (AP) invoices for payment.
- Oversee AR deposit management.
- Support reporting requirements for Small Business Administration (SBA), State, and other entities.
- Manage Purchase Order (PO) processing, including training sessions.
Qualifications:
- AA/BA degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline, with 2-5 years of relevant experience preferred. Degree substitution may be considered based on practical experience in government contract support.
- Familiarity with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and budgeting processes is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
- Microsoft Word: Ability to create and format documents and tables.
- Microsoft Excel: Competence in developing complex worksheets and formulas.
- Microsoft PowerPoint: Skill in creating presentations and basic flowcharts.
- Proficient user of advanced ERP systems, such as ESP21.
- Strong flexibility, teamwork, and attention to detail are critical.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines are required.
