As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our power facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain combined cycle generating facilities and associated auxiliary equipment with minimal guidance or assistance.
- Make operating decisions based on plant procedures, environmental regulations, and safety procedures.
- Read meters, gauges, and automatic devices to record data and verify operating conditions.
- Communicate plant issues and keep Operations Manager and/or Plant Manager informed of unusual conditions, damaged equipment, and current job progress.
- Provide detailed status of plant conditions to fellow operators at shift turnover.
- Perform water chemistry analysis and ensure water chemistry is within proper control ranges.
- Operate demineralized water system and monitor demineralized water quality.
- Maintain equipment by tightening fittings, replacing valve packing, gaskets, valves, gauges, etc.
- Read, understand, and comply with all regulatory procedures and facility safety programs.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Senior-level experience (5+ years) in directly related field.
- Advanced certifications/licensures.
