Job Summary:

  • As a Registered Nurse in our Surgical/OR department, you'll be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
  • You'll work closely with patients and their families to ensure their physical and emotional well-being, advocating for their rights and needs.
  • You'll be an integral part of our team, working collaboratively to provide exceptional patient care and promote a positive patient experience.
  • You'll be responsible for promoting and supporting interventions to ensure patient safety and quality care.
  • You'll demonstrate awareness of ethical and legal issues related to patient care and advocate for patients and their families.
  • You'll model the values of caring and demonstrate a patient-centered focus, promoting a culture of compassion and respect.
  • You'll be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • You'll need an Associate's degree in Nursing and be licensed as an RN in New Mexico or have a compact license.
  • Bachelor's and Master's degrees are preferred, but not required.
  • You'll need to obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of employment and maintain current certification.
  • Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certification is preferred, and ACLS certification is required for areas where moderate sedation is performed.
  • Experience in an acute care facility is preferred, but not required.
