Job Summary

Citigroup Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Fixed Income Sales Trader to join our team in New York. As a key member of our Investments Solutions Capital Markets team, you will be responsible for delivering best-in-class fixed income advice, guidance, and execution services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver trade ideas and investment opportunities in municipal bond markets, providing exceptional execution service and advice.
  • Stay up-to-date with fixed income market intelligence, investment strategy, and research to deliver actionable trade ideas to our clients.
  • Act as a fixed income product expert, working in accordance with our business product programs, processes, and procedures.
  • Ensure seamless execution, booking, and reporting of fixed income brokerage transactions.
  • Grow client participation across our fixed income brokerage business.
  • Participate in regional sales and marketing forums to promote our fixed income brokerage product capabilities.
  • Design and implement product and platform improvements to enhance the advisor and client experience.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a fixed income product, sales, or trading role, preferably within a wealth management organization.
  • Specific experience in municipal bonds, both primary and secondary markets.
  • Experience with brokerage fixed income, as well as portfolio analytic tools and interest rate pricing models.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work on a team.
  • Self-motivated to provide proactive trade ideas within taxable and municipal markets.
  • Previous exposure to high net worth private clients and family offices would be beneficial.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time, explain complex concepts in a clear and simple language, and educate clients on the risks and potential benefits of transacting in fixed income products.
  • Strong IT and analytical skills essential.
  • Strong knowledge of the regulatory environment surrounding retail fixed income brokerage.
  • Series 7 and 63 required.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
