Job Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer will lead and implement programs to ensure optimal equipment reliability at AmeriQual. This role requires strong knowledge of Project Management principles and the ability to communicate and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise installation, operation, and maintenance of equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Interact with vendors and contractors during equipment installs and upgrades to ensure compliance with AmeriQual policies.
  • Develop and implement proper preventative maintenance procedures to ensure equipment functions correctly and reduce downtime.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to inform maintenance and repair decisions.
  • Communicate project schedules and align outage and shutdown needs with team members to ensure seamless operations.
  • Monitor production schedules and plan projects and repairs accordingly to minimize disruptions.
  • Provide production support, including troubleshooting manufacturing processes and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain a positive and cooperative collaboration with all team members, customers, and contractors to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Supply technical information and guidance to the Maintenance team for spare parts, predictive maintenance, and preventative maintenance to increase equipment reliability.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver solutions on time and on budget, ensuring high-quality results and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure contractors are operating in a safe, compliant manner and following AmeriQual policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field required.
  • Strong knowledge of Project Management principles and the ability to apply them in a fast-paced environment.
  • Results-driven with proven decision-making skills and high accountability.
  • Ability to work off-shift, weekends, and holidays as needed for project completion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Self-starter with strong leadership, administrative, and people skills.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, anticipate changing project needs, and meet deadlines.
  • Professional, can-do mentality with excellent customer service skills.
  • Thorough working knowledge of all current OSHA and Safety Standards.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk, and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Position will also frequent the production floor, so operating in standard seasonal warehouse and food processing plant temperature conditions will be required. Lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing/pulling/moving objects, and using specialized tools, equipment, and machines is required. Operating in standard seasonal warehouse and food processing plant temperature conditions will be required. Work is completed in a facility where nuts, fruits, and other allergens are present.
