POSITION SUMMARY:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will focus exclusively on recruiting for Directions for Living's programs dedicated to children and their associated support roles. These programs encompass various positions, including Treatment Works, Clinic roles, Early Childhood Consultation, and more.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will utilize sound judgment and discretion to devise strategies aimed at attracting a robust and culturally diverse workforce, positioning Directions for Living as the employer of choice within the community. Responsibilities include overseeing the recruitment process, which involves sourcing, screening, hiring, and onboarding qualified professionals in Behavioral Health, Social Services, and administrative roles, as well as interns and volunteers to fulfill the needs of the organization’s Children's Services.

Additionally, the Specialist will engage with potential candidates through various channels, assess applications, and collaborate with hiring supervisors and program directors. Building strong relationships with senior leadership will be essential to create a pool of qualified candidates for hiring decisions. The Specialist will also maintain a proactive network of diverse candidates and representatives from the communities served by Directions for Living, ensuring alignment with the agency's specific needs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field, with two years of recruitment experience, or a minimum of five years in a similar role may substitute for educational requirements.
  2. Demonstrated experience with major job platforms such as Indeed.
  3. Advanced knowledge of sourcing techniques on social media and niche professional websites.
  4. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems.
  5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  6. Proficient computer skills.
