Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Transactional Attorney to join our team at VWH Capital Management, LP.

About the Role

This is a high-profile position that requires a deep understanding of transactional investment and financing agreements. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a licensed attorney with a Juris Doctorate and expertise in reviewing and negotiating transactional documents related to private equity.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with internal parties and outside counsel to advise on fund formation and structuring. They will also work closely with the Chief Compliance Officer to ensure firm compliance with SEC and other regulatory requirements.

In addition to their technical expertise, the selected candidate will possess excellent client services skills, strong attention to detail, prioritization skills, and organization. They will be a self-starter who can create policies and procedures independently.

Responsibilities
  • Review and negotiate transactional agreements with the investment team.
  • Coordinate with internal parties and outside counsel to advise on fund formation and structuring.
  • Work with the Chief Compliance Officer to ensure firm compliance with SEC and other regulatory requirements.
  • Manage vendor network and create/maintain policy and procedure governance process.
  • Assist in negotiation of legal documents and resolve employee matters.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a licensed attorney with a Juris Doctorate.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in private equity/hedge fund industry, preferably with mortgage industry exposure.
  • Experience reviewing and negotiating transactional documents related to private equity.
  • Ability to create policies and procedures, work independently, and be a self-starter.
  • Strong client services skills, attention to detail, prioritization skills, and organization.
Compensation and Benefits
  • $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
