Key Responsibilities

Position Overview

The Installation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing field installations, customer service, and fleet management. This role collaborates closely with the General Manager to ensure the highest standards of installation quality and product integrity, while directly supervising the Residential Installation and Service team. The position entails comprehensive oversight, coordination, and evaluation of these operations, adhering to the organization's policies and relevant regulations. Key responsibilities include:
  • Recruiting, hiring, and training personnel.
  • Planning, assigning, and directing work tasks.
  • Evaluating employee performance and implementing reward and disciplinary measures.
  • Addressing customer complaints and resolving operational issues.

Duties and Expectations

This role involves analyzing specifications and capacity data, performing calculations to determine optimal processes, tools, and staffing needs. The Installation Supervisor will:
  • Identify and implement solutions for quality control challenges.
  • Manage fleet maintenance and inspect tools and equipment.
  • Conduct weekly safety briefings with field personnel.
  • Collaborate with department supervisors and sales teams to assess project statuses.
  • Facilitate operations to mitigate delays and adjust schedules as necessary.
  • Train new installation staff and engage in complex installations.
  • Ensure quality standards are upheld across all Residential Installers and Service personnel.
  • Disseminate critical product information to field teams.
  • Maintain a weekly logbook detailing ongoing projects and scheduled training sessions.
  • Review completed Sales Orders to identify discrepancies and report payroll totals.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should possess a solid understanding of MS Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes, with familiarity in AS400 and JD Edwards being advantageous. A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in operations management, outside sales, or accounting is essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills, self-motivation, a proactive attitude, and excellent organizational abilities are crucial. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Leadership capabilities and proficiency in managing business metrics.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • The ability to multitask and assist in warehouse operations as needed.

Educational Background

A college degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business is preferred but not mandatory.
