Pipeline Health is Seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist
The Clinical Laboratory Scientist plays a vital role in our laboratory team, responsible for performing complex laboratory tests in various sections, including hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, microbiology, blood bank, and serology.
As a key member of our team, you will apply professional knowledge of laboratory science principles, theories, techniques, and quality controls to ensure accurate and reliable results. You will report to the lead clinical laboratory scientist, laboratory manager/supervisor, and/or the administrative director of Laboratory services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow hospital policies and procedures, documenting review and compliance.
- Ensure daily QC meets acceptable standards before releasing patient results.
- Maintain equipment, temperatures, specimen rejection, and troubleshooting, adhering to schedules and completion of work.
- Manage inventory of supplies and reagents.
- Participate in laboratories' in-service and competency assessment programs.
- Train and orient new team members.
- Complete tasks assigned by the lead CLS/lab manager/supervisor/lab administrative director.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree with California-required class units for a clinical laboratory scientist, plus at least 6 months experience in an accredited hospital laboratory in two or more sections.
- Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license.
We offer a competitive $85,000 - $105,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for growth and development within our organization.
