Position: Lead Statistical Programmer specializing in SAS and R
Key Responsibilities:
Under moderate supervision, the incumbent will design, develop, assess, and refine SAS programs aimed at analyzing and interpreting clinical data. The role involves planning, writing, and executing statistical programs tailored to analyze data from databases, producing comprehensive tables, listings, and figures while ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
The successful candidate will leverage extensive knowledge and expertise, potentially acting as the lead programmer on project teams. Responsibilities include consulting on the design and development of clinical trials, protocols, and case report forms, as well as validating, documenting, and archiving single-use programs and the SAS macro library.
Additionally, the role requires exploring new programming technologies, testing, documenting, and integrating software tools into programming procedures, and reviewing work processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Problem Solving:
The candidate will troubleshoot and creatively resolve complex issues, bringing fresh perspectives to existing solutions and exploring innovative concepts and methodologies. They will translate technical expertise into strategic business insights and lead both internal and external teams while fostering professional relationships.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience as a statistical programmer utilizing SAS in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, diagnostics, or medical device sectors.
- Alternatively, 10 years of experience with a Master’s degree or 2 years with a PhD in a related field.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in statistics, biostatistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
