The BAS team spearheads Strategic Initiatives aimed at delivering accelerated growth by closely collaborating with product engineering, customer service, sales, marketing, business planning, and finance to enhance cross-BAP and cross-functional collaboration results.
As the Financial Lead for Business Programs, your primary responsibility will be overseeing Gross Margin and managing COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) and Revenue factors that can enhance revenue growth and meet North Star revenue objectives for D365.
You will be accountable for the Gross Margin oversight on behalf of the Engineering organization and will directly engage with COGS and Revenue Finance.
Your role will involve identifying and monitoring opportunities and risks related to the margin, and you may lead cross-functional initiatives to achieve the identified business outcomes.
Additionally, you will collaborate with the BIC Executive Office to assist in budget analysis and align on further opportunities as necessary to uncover savings and investment possibilities across various expenditure categories.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or a related field AND 6+ years of experience in program management, process management, or process improvement OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements are essential for this role.

Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
As a Financial Lead for Business Programs, you will:
- Own the standard rhythm of business (RoB) for Gross Margin on behalf of engineering, including monthly close activities and monthly Microsoft Product Reviews (MPR).
- Act as the primary liaison regarding Gross Margin health to Finance and other key stakeholders.
- Utilize direction and strategy from leadership to create and execute plans that shift current priorities to new organizational initiatives and objectives, influencing others to adjust their behavior accordingly.
- Engage actively with BAS Strategic Initiative leads and program managers to support the execution and funding of programs, delivering against defined revenue and COGS goals.
- Collaborate extensively across finance, sales, marketing, business planning, and engineering, as well as with partners and customers, to enable efficient and effective allocation of funds to maximize ROI.
- Lead financial operations to support the allocation of funds and track return on investment (ROI).
- Define and monitor success criteria and performance metrics.
- Contribute to or lead specific projects, including project plans, timelines, milestones, financial management, performance metrics, and resource needs supporting broader business outcomes.
- Provide insights into cost-benefit analyses and the evaluation of success metrics while leading the synthesis of data analytics to derive insights and identify risks and opportunities.
