Job Summary

As a Nurse Practitioner in Neurosurgery, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team at Prisma Health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide primary health care to patients within established protocols and guidelines.
  • Engage in diagnosis and treatment of diseases, defects, or injuries, and recommend or prescribe treatments as needed.
  • Perform charting, summaries, and correspondence to document care and billing.
  • Participate in physician educational programs and respond to requests for proposals for managed care contracts.
  • Contribute to the establishment of quality assurance programs, utilization management programs, and patient education services.
  • Assist in operational assessments to enhance revenue, reduce expenses, and improve billing opportunities.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Nursing with a Nurse Practitioner emphasis or equivalent program certificate.
  • South Carolina Official Recognition Nurse Practitioner - NLNP certification.
  • Prescriptive Authority South Carolina Nursing License and South Carolina Controlled Substance license.
  • Federal DEA license.
Work Environment

This is a non-management role that reports to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive. The work shift is variable, and the location is 3 Medical Park Rd Richland.
