Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with expertise in Neurosurgery, Neuro Critical Care, Neurology, or Stroke management.

Certification Requirements:
Candidates must possess ENLS certification and be open to licensing considerations.

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week. The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM, with a call schedule of 24 hours every 3-4 days and every third weekend.

Support Team:
The selected candidate will collaborate with a team consisting of 2-3 Nurse Practitioners, 4 Medical Doctors, a Nurse Navigator, and a Certified Medical Assistant.

Call Requirements:
Weekend call is required 1-2 times a month, with weekday call every 3-4 days and an additional 3-day weekend.

Interview Process:
Interviews will be conducted via Zoom.

Duration of Engagement:
The anticipated length of need is 6 months.

Department Overview:
The Neuro Endovascular Advanced Practice Provider will manage inpatient services, perform elective procedures, handle consults, admissions, discharges, and daily progress notes, as well as acute stroke triage and pre/post-operative orders.

Patient Volume:
The provider will manage a patient volume of 10-20 per day, primarily focusing on adult patients.

Documentation System:
The facility utilizes EPIC EMR and AGFA Imaging for documentation.

Technology Utilization:
A cell phone is necessary for communication; a laptop and scrubs will be provided.

Special Procedures/Unit Details:
Responsibilities include assisting in the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of patients undergoing various neurovascular procedures such as diagnostic cerebral angiograms, aneurysm/AVM/DAVF embolizations, acute mechanical thrombectomies, carotid stenting, and external ventricular drain placements. The role will also involve working in Neuro ICU, Neuro/Trauma ICU, and step-down neuro units.

Preferred Certifications:
Candidates with ACNP, AGACNP, PA, BLS, ACLS, and ENLS certifications are preferred.

Required Certifications:
A valid Nurse Practitioner or PA license in South Carolina, along with ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certification, and ENLS certification, is mandatory.

Preferred Skills:
Experience in neurology and neuro critical care patient management, stroke management/thrombectomy, and neurosurgery is advantageous, though OR experience is not required.

Essential Skills:
Critical care, neurology, or neurosurgery experience is beneficial but not mandatory.

Minimum Experience Required:
A minimum of 2 years of Advanced Practice Provider experience is required.
