POSITION OVERVIEW:

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Hourly

WORK SCHEDULE: 12-hour rotation, night shift

SUPERVISOR: Maintenance Coordinator

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Mechanic plays a crucial role in executing general and preventive maintenance tasks for machinery, equipment, and facility infrastructure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct maintenance on mechanical systems, hydraulic components, valves, and associated equipment.
  • Possess proficiency in MiG welding, Stick Welding, Plasma cutting, and the use of cutting torches.
  • Demonstrate expertise in operating Metal Shears, Press Brakes, and punch presses.
  • Assist in mechanical and electrical tasks as directed by plant service specialists.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of plant utilities and their respective service protocols.
  • Adhere to OSHA regulations to ensure compliance during installations and maintenance activities.
  • Utilize fall protection systems when performing tasks at elevated heights.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the work environment.
  • Prioritize personal and team safety at all times.
  • Execute additional job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • A minimum of two years of experience in the maintenance field is preferred. A strong attendance record and possession of necessary tools are essential, along with a solid understanding of at least one maintenance discipline.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Work-Ready Certificate is advantageous

  • Computer Proficiency
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (12-hour shifts)
  • Exposure to temperature extremes, particularly during peak summer months.
