Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the Cardiac Rehabilitation program, ensuring its independent functioning.
  • Maintain comprehensive records and documentation to support ongoing accreditation with relevant professional bodies.
  • Engage in the Cardio-Vascular surgery program and contribute to the continuous development of the Cardiac Rehabilitation program.

Team Leadership: Foster a collaborative work environment by promoting effective communication among team members and supporting their professional growth. Act as a mentor and resource for fellow Exercise Physiologists, guiding them in their clinical practice.

Patient Care: Conduct thorough evaluations to determine patient functionality and develop tailored care plans. Set realistic patient goals and create effective treatment protocols, adhering to departmental policies.

Quality Assurance: Regularly assess patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary. Collaborate with the inter-professional team to ensure safe and effective exercise interventions.

Resource Management: Utilize resources efficiently to optimize time and equipment usage. Ensure accurate documentation of patient interactions and procedures.

Professional Development: Engage in continuous learning and development, identifying personal educational needs and pursuing relevant opportunities. Participate in performance improvement initiatives and contribute to departmental goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of four years of experience in a Cardiac Rehabilitation setting.
  • Required certifications: BLS and ACLS within specified timeframes.

Skills and Competencies: Strong communication skills, ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team, and proficiency in utilizing various computer systems for documentation and patient management.
