Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in Women's Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support our mission to deliver exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical treatment and personal care services to patients in the clinical setting.
  • Room and prepare patients for examination and procedures.
  • Collect patient data and document in the medical record.
  • Assist with procedures, examinations, and testing as needed.
  • Review physician's orders, lab requests, or follow-up needs with patients.
  • Document services provided in the medical record.
  • Provide patient treatments as ordered.
  • Observe patients and report adverse reactions to medication or treatment to the RN.
  • Administer specified medications as allowed by policy and procedure, licensure, and State Practice Act.
  • Reinforce patient teaching provided by Provider and RN.
  • Provide basic healthcare instruction to family and patient.
  • Perform EKGs and simple lab tests.
  • Perform venipuncture to collect blood specimens.
  • Participate in QA & I.
  • Order supplies.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Graduate of an accredited LPN Program.
  • Experience in a clinical setting preferred.
  • Licensed as an LPN in the State of Illinois or Wisconsin, depending on where the services are performed.
  • Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.
  • TACT within 90 days (per department guidelines).
Physical Demands

This position requires:

  • Manual dexterity to operate equipment and assist with medical procedures.
  • Able to lift, restrain, and ambulate patients.
  • Frequent standing, walking, handling, finger, feel, reach, talk, and hear.
  • Occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouch, crawl, taste, and smell.
  • Heavy work.
