At ICONMA, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Unit Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Unit Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to ensure the best possible outcomes.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • **Patient Care:** Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, and procedures, standards of care, and State laws/practice act.
  • **Collaboration:** Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
  • **Documentation:** Document according to standards of care.
  • **Patient Education:** Develop, initiate, and execute a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by Physician and/or hospital policy including patient and family instruction.
  • **Performance Improvement:** Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, may include shared governance.
  • **Clinical Expertise:** Utilize clinical expertise & guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care.
  • **Critical Thinking:** Utilize critical thinking in regards to patient safety and patient experience and appropriately escalate to the appropriate chain of command.

**Requirements:**

  • Current WI License
  • CPR/BLS certification
