Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical/Design Engineer to become part of our dynamic team within the construction industry. This is a permanent role that provides the chance to engage in a variety of stimulating projects, including both residential and commercial developments.
The ideal candidate will be instrumental in the design, development, and testing of electrical systems and components, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards. This position is tailored for individuals who excel in a fast-paced environment and possess a strong drive for innovation and effective problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems tailored for construction projects, ensuring alignment with client specifications and adherence to applicable codes and standards.
- Create comprehensive electrical drawings and specifications for construction teams.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering professionals to seamlessly integrate electrical systems into the overall project framework.
- Conduct site inspections to verify proper installation of electrical systems and address any issues that may arise.
- Utilize design software and tools to model and simulate electrical systems, identifying potential challenges or enhancements.
- Stay informed on industry trends and technological advancements to propose and implement innovative design practices.
- Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and deliver design proposals, reports, and findings to clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical design, ideally within the construction sector.
- Proficiency in electrical design software and tools.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems design, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards governing electrical system design in construction.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities, capable of conveying complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
