Senior System Analyst Role

We are seeking a Senior System Analyst to join our team in Minneapolis, MN/SFO, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing in-depth analysis on complex projects and influencing business partners to develop recommendations that address business needs and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, designing, and developing systems, processes, and procedures that address complex business requirements.
  • Gather, review, analyze, and translate business requirements and functions into well-organized systems designs, user stories, and actionable solutions.
  • Establish strong relationships with stakeholders, product teams, project management teams, engineering teams, and external vendors.
  • Create technical documents, such as flow diagrams, state & sequence diagrams, and process and procedure documentations.
  • Assist with gap identification, gap prioritization, and gap solution design efforts after business requirements gathering and initial systems configuration and systems.
  • Collaborate with internal and external technical teams to plan, design, and develop solutions.
  • Lead efforts to identify areas of improvement in existing business processes and applications.
  • Develop expertise and become the Subject Matter Expert on the applications.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting issues, working with vendors for product support, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and managing issues to resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience as a System Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, such as SQL Server and Cassandra.
  • Strong experience in data-mapping using XML and JSON.
  • Solid understanding of REST and SOAP API Integrations patterns.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments, such as MS Azure.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with technical teams, business teams, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively balance multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
