Objective

The primary aim of this role is to conduct effective and comprehensive mechanical repairs and maintenance of all rental machinery, primarily at client job sites and occasionally within the workshop.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting of equipment issues and failures at job locations.
  • Clean, repair, refurbish, and maintain machinery and components to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Prepare detailed inspection and evaluation reports.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of the operation, functionality, specifications, capabilities, and controls of any rental machinery.
  • Complete all repair-related documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Follow the directives of management and lead technicians regarding all repairs and service tasks.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications

Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a technician role.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Possession of basic hand tools.
Preferred:
  • Certification from a vocational or technical institution.
  • Valid Class B CDL.
  • 7 years or more of relevant experience with heavy machinery, preferably in a rental company or with Caterpillar, and/or in a role with knowledge of hydraulics, powertrain, electronic/electrical systems, etc.
