Key Responsibilities- Assess and Plan Care: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Implement Care: Implement care plans in collaboration with the surgical team, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and attention.
- Coordinate Care: Coordinate care with the surgical team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other personnel, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Supervise Non-Professional Staff: Supervise and direct non-professional staff in the operating room, ensuring that they are providing high-quality care and attention to patients.
- Maintain a Safe Environment: Maintain a safe and efficient operating room environment, including ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and that the environment is clean and well-organized.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required; Master of Arts in Nursing (MA) degree preferred.
- License: Current Massachusetts RN license required; CNOR/ASPAN certification preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of one year of scrub and circulating RN experience required; demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced team environment required.
