Job Description

At Wash and Roll, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Team Member to join our car wash team. As a Team Member, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive an exceptional experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work seamlessly with other team members to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
  • Warmly welcome each customer and assist them throughout the wash process.
  • Maintain a positive attitude, wear a smile as it is part of the uniform.
  • Engage customers in polite, friendly conversation, making them feel welcomed.
  • Work with fellow team members to keep the site clean and organized.
  • Become a subject matter expert on wash methods, safety, inspection, and maintenance, and apply that knowledge daily.
  • Clean out vacuums and unclog vacuum hoses.
  • Guide customers onto the tunnel/prep area.
  • Prep customers' cars with a prep brush.
  • Handle vacuum area trash hourly.
  • Sweep vacuum area/parking lot.
  • Ensure the property is clean of any trash and debris.
  • Ensure the landscape looks clean.
  • Wash and fold any towels collected from customers.
  • Make sure the towel cart is stocked and ready for customers.
  • Check in on customers to ensure wash quality is great and give a good experience.
  • Always smile and be friendly to all customers.
  • Work with managers on any tunnel/backroom problems.
  • Post morning and nightly numbers.
  • Open the store and ensure all equipment is working and 100% in the morning.
  • Closing the wash, ensuring all equipment is shut off, and ready for the morning.
  • Ensure the tunnel is cleaned and pressure washed.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment.
  • Ensure the alarm is set nightly, and all doors are locked when closed.
  • Clean vacuum canisters and hoses daily, and hourly during business hours.
  • Clean the bathroom and ensure toilet tissue and paper towels are available.
  • Clean the office and lobby, including stocking any shelf products (air fresheners, etc.).
  • Ensure the backroom is well organized and cleaned out.
  • Ensure vehicles are properly prepped.
  • Keep the tunnel, parking lot, office/lobby, and equipment room clean for customers and clean up any trip or slip hazards for anyone on property.
  • Ensure ice and snow build-up are appropriately handled to ensure people on site are safe.
  • Maintain a friendly and welcoming attitude with all customers, no matter what.
  • Assist managers with inventory.
  • Be competent with DRB (setting up/managing plans, changing receipt paper, running reports, and selling car care products).
  • Be ready to move up to assistant manager.
  • Follow all safety and OSHA guidelines.
  • Always maintain a clean uniform.
  • Be able to properly fill out incident claims.
  • If employees notice something wrong, they should let the manager or assistant know ASAP (any fluids on the ground in the back room, any strange noises, etc.).
  • Roll vacuum hoses.
  • Empty vacuum canisters.
  • Ensure all LED lights are operational (report any light out to management).
  • Follow the cleaning checklist.
  • Filling out incident report (store manager takes over after).
  • Being a one-minute manager.
  • Post on can't wash anytime you cannot wash cars.

Requirements:

  • A sociable personality with a desire to work as part of a team serving the public.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time.
  • Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the car wash.
