Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Coordinator to join our team at Tri Pointe Homes Holdings, Inc. as an Assistant Construction Manager. This role will support the Construction Manager in overseeing the homebuilding construction process for designated communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in coordinating trade partners and consultants to ensure quality control and adherence to company scopes of work and safety protocols.
  • Monitor contract adherence and provide input on trade partner selection.
  • Evaluate safety violations on the worksite and take appropriate action.
  • Monitor work against benchmarks and timetables to ensure trade partners, employees, and vendors perform on schedule and budget.
  • Coordinate start and assist in modifying schedules in response to field conditions to achieve company goals.
  • Assist in monitoring the homebuilding process from permitting to home delivery and first-year warranty.
  • Ensure adherence to company job site compliance programs and monitor trade partner compliance with scopes of work and applicable regulations.
  • Act as the company's representative on the job site with third parties such as trade partners, customers, and government inspectors and investigators.
  • Monitor daily logistics of the site to ensure various contractors work harmoniously.
  • Communicate with sales, purchasing, homeowners, consultants, trades, building officials, and customer care to successfully execute the homebuilding process.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant construction experience or education is preferred.
  • Knowledge of home construction.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural and structural blueprints, off-site improvement plans & soil reports.
  • Knowledge of relevant building codes and all scopes of work.
  • Knowledge of Hyphen BuildPro preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Project.
Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with frequent standing and walking, sometimes on uneven and rough terrain. Climbing ladders, moving/carrying construction materials and supplies weighing more than 50 pounds, and tolerance of moderate to very loud noise are also required.
