About the Role:

We're seeking a self-motivated Construction Administrator to oversee the construction phase of projects, ensuring quality, compliance, and smooth collaboration with architects, contractors, and clients. If you're detail-oriented, great at problem-solving, and thrive in fast-paced environments, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage in-office construction administration tasks, including startup, submittals, RFI's, ASI's, change orders, and project closeout tasks.
  • Coordinate correspondence, including receipt, forwarding, and return of project documents as directed by the PM.
  • Review payment applications, architectural submittals, and coordinate consultant submissions.
  • Communicate with the PM, prepare contract documents, and conduct site visits.
  • Attend OEM meetings, document minutes, and follow up on action items.
  • Communicate construction needs with clients and manage consultant site visits and inspections.
  • Ensure construction quality, review building plans, and develop cost estimates.
  • Perform final inspections, punch list, and ensure project manual completeness.
  • Mentor staff, track budgets, schedules, invoices, and work orders.
  • Regularly visit sites, ensure compliance, and maintain quality control.
  • Ensure project documentation aligns with company policies.
  • Collaborate on change orders, maintain logs, and ensure safety requirements are met.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of recent experience in construction management/administration, including in-field experience. Recent work with an architectural design firm preferred.
  • BA or equivalent in construction management preferred.
  • Microsoft Office applications proficiency.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently with conflicting deadlines.
  • Attentive to detail and precision, taking pride and ownership in work.
