Job Title: Shipyard Laborer

Waterfront Services is seeking a skilled Shipyard Laborer to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Shipyard Laborer will perform general labor work to support marine and shipyard operations. This includes climbing onto barges, opening and closing barge lids, and walking on surfaces that can be wet or snow-covered.

Responsibilities:

  • Climb onto barges and perform general labor tasks
  • Open and close barge lids that weigh up to 125 lbs
  • Walk on surfaces that can be wet or snow-covered
  • Perform detailed work requiring effective eye-hand coordination
  • Wear personal protective equipment, including a life vest, safety shoes, clothing, dust mask, and hearing protection

Requirements:

  • Ability to climb onto barges and perform general labor tasks
  • Ability to open and close barge lids that weigh up to 125 lbs
  • Ability to walk on surfaces that can be wet or snow-covered
  • Effective eye-hand coordination
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment
