Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the position of Regional Site Coordinator at Texas State University. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for recruiting prospective students, providing quality academic advising for selected programs, and serving as the main point-of-contact for co-enrolled students at an instructional degree completion site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit and give presentations to students and parents who inquire about the instructional degree completion site option.
  • Provide Academic Advising for select programs at the instructional degree completion site, by planning, assisting and counseling students on available options relating to degree offerings.
  • Participate in Academic Alliance efforts toward recruitment and retention.
  • Demonstrate care and quality service relating to information regarding Texas State on the instructional degree completion site.
  • Engage in outreach related to persistence, external recruitment/retention events at local ISD's within the area.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Knowledge in recruitment and retention techniques.
  • Knowledge in providing quality academic advising.
  • Knowledge of university policy, degree programs, core curriculum, relevant advising software and curriculum revisions.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems in perceived stressful situations.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Applications, Admissions and Advising Software
  • Ability to present to groups or individuals
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree Preferred
  • Capable of providing excellent customer service by troubleshooting issues that may arise for students and/or parents.
  • Develop solutions for students regarding registration procedures and assess ways to improve the process.
