This role includes stepping in for the Executive Housekeeper when necessary, ensuring that all housekeeping operations run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that daily cleaning objectives are met while upholding the hotel’s standards for cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
- Engage with guests and staff in a courteous, attentive, and service-oriented manner.
- Supervise and guide all housekeeping and laundry staff.
- Conduct inspections of guest rooms and public areas to guarantee quality and cleanliness.
- Manage daily operations, including opening and closing the housekeeping department, assigning tasks, and inspecting rooms.
- Lead daily meetings with housekeeping personnel to discuss objectives and address any issues.
- Monitor maintenance requests and follow up to ensure timely completion.
- Review and balance room status reports to resolve discrepancies.
- Oversee guest requests to ensure all needs are met proactively.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards regarding hazardous materials.
- Assist with regular inventory checks for housekeeping supplies.
- Follow established procedures for cleaning and preparing guest rooms.
- Perform pre-cleaning tasks such as stocking supplies and removing waste.
- Engage in repetitive cleaning tasks, including bed making and bathroom sanitation.
- Interact positively with guests and team members.
- Maintain consistent attendance as per scheduling requirements.
- Adhere to company grooming and appearance standards.
- Thoroughly clean and restock assigned guest rooms.
- Address special requests from guests or other departments.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
- Experience in hotel housekeeping or a related field.
- Able to perform well under pressure.
- Skilled in problem-solving and conflict resolution.
- Effective communication and listening skills.
- Basic arithmetic skills.
- Maintain a key control system for the department.
- Housekeeping Supervisors are expected to perform cleaning duties on days without Executive Housekeeper responsibilities.
- Proficient in Windows operating systems and standard office software.
- Ability to clearly convey information and ideas.
- Desire to provide excellent service to all guests.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
