Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Aide to join our team at the Bethesda Project. As a Residential Aide, you will play a critical role in providing support and care to individuals experiencing homelessness and/or formerly unhoused persons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety and security of our residential sites and residents, remaining vigilant at all times.
  • Monitor the self-administration of medications and assist Case Managers with arranging resident participation in supportive programs.
  • Coach residents on goal fulfillment and conduct daily checks of resident rooms and general areas for safety hazards and cleanliness.
  • Respond to emergency situations and collaborate with fellow staff members to ensure effective communication.
  • Maintain daily logs with attention to detail and follow-through on house chore lists and housekeeping duties as necessary.
Requirements
  • High school diploma with experience in mental health and/or addiction services.
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills, including internet and email proficiency.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Team-oriented disposition and knowledge of safe behavioral management techniques.
  • Ability to acquire First Aid/CPR/AED and NARCAN certification.
Physical Demands
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, walking, and climbing stairs.
  • Ability to perform audio and visual assessments.
  • Use of hands to finger, handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls.
  • Able to regularly lift up to 25 pounds consistently and occasionally lift over 30 pounds.
