Job Summary

Cook Children's Healthcare is seeking a skilled Social Worker/MSW,ED to provide direct social work services to patients and their families in the Emergency Department. This role requires a compassionate and assertive individual who can effectively communicate, problem-solve, and think critically.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide social work services to patients and their families in the Emergency Department
  • Communicate effectively with individuals regarding sensitive topics
  • Assist with social work needs on other floors during scheduled shifts
Requirements
  • MSW/MSSW from an accredited school of Social Work
  • Previous experience in a hospital setting and working with children and families
  • Current Texas License for LMSW
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for Health Care Providers within 30 days of employment
Work Schedule

This is a rotating Thursday-Sunday night position from 7:30pm to 8am.
