We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team as an Employee Health Specialist. In this role, you will play a critical part in promoting staff health and safety, leading an Employee Health Program to detect, prevent, and treat diseases.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and direct staff members with potential health risks or limitations to suitable resources for further assistance.
- Act as a support system for staff, responding to queries and concerns related to employee health.
- Supervise health initiatives for workers, including Flu campaigns and Tuberculosis screening for new hires and volunteers.
- Conduct yearly fit tests or Powered Air Purifying Respirator training sessions for designated employees.
- Manage workers' exposure to risks and hazards, arranging follow-up testing for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, HIV, and Tuberculosis.
- Track worker exposure to identify health risks and monitor employee exposure to diseases.
- Provide health education to staff through training and resources, planning, executing, and conducting yearly Tuberculosis and blood-borne pathogen training sessions.
- Handle confidential employee health files and be responsible for authorized records release.
- Graduate of an accredited program.
- Minimum of two years of experience in the relevant field is required for this role.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Valid License Pract/Vocational Nurse (LVN).
- Phlebotomy skills a plus.
- Highly preferred: one year of LVN experience.
