Position Summary:
The Radiology Technologist is responsible for providing direct patient care with compassion and efficiency while utilizing advanced radiologic technology.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct patient evaluations, confirm patient identity, and ensure the correct procedures are performed.
2. Explain procedures to patients and prepare them by gathering medical history and consent forms.
3. Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the imaging process.
4. Monitor patients and equipment during examinations, reporting any changes to healthcare services.
5. Position patients accurately for routine diagnostic radiographs, selecting appropriate technical factors based on individual patient needs.
6. Execute specialty procedures, including but not limited to surgery, C-arm, and various contrast studies, while maintaining quality standards.
7. Assist physicians during fluoroscopic and minor specialty exams, including administering contrast media and operating necessary equipment.
8. Perform IV injections and maintain knowledge of IV care.
9. Identify all images with proper lead markers and patient information, ensuring radiation safety for all parties involved.

Quality Assurance:
Participate in performance improvement initiatives and conduct quality control testing as mandated by departmental standards.

Education and Qualifications:
Required:
- Vocational/Technical Degree in Radiology Technology or Advanced Imaging
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
- Current state licensure and BLS certification
Preferred:
- Advanced Registry in Quality Management by ARRT
