Role Overview: The Radiology Technologist is responsible for delivering compassionate and timely patient care while utilizing advanced radiologic technology to perform diagnostic imaging safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct direct patient evaluations, ensuring accurate identification and verification of patient information to facilitate appropriate imaging procedures.
  • Communicate clearly with patients about the procedures, ensuring their comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the process.
  • Prepare patients by gathering and documenting medical histories and consent forms as necessary.
  • Position patients correctly for various diagnostic radiographs, selecting appropriate technical factors based on patient demographics and medical history.
  • Perform specialty imaging procedures, including but not limited to surgery, C-arm, tomograms, venograms, and other advanced techniques.
  • Assist physicians during fluoroscopic and minor specialty exams, ensuring proper administration of contrast media and positioning of patients.
  • Maintain high standards of radiation safety for patients and staff, utilizing protective equipment as required.
  • Engage in quality control testing and participate in performance improvement initiatives to meet departmental standards.
  • Contribute to the education of students and the orientation of new team members.

Qualifications:

Education: Vocational/Technical Degree in Radiology Technology or Advanced Imaging.

Licensure/Certification:

  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
  • Current licensure in the state of Ohio.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Registry in Quality Management by the ARRT.
