Customer Service Associate Job Overview

JOB SUMMARY: This role is essential for ensuring the efficient and secure operation of the shift, contributing to the overall profitability of the store.

Key Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:
  • Interact with customers in a courteous and approachable manner.
  • Remain on your feet for extended periods, up to ten hours.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively in English.
  • Perform basic math calculations for transactions.
  • Maintain clear vision for various operational tasks.
  • Utilize cash registers and related equipment proficiently.
  • Safely lift and transport items as necessary.
  • Bend, squat, and reach to replenish stock on shelves.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies.
  • Carry out cleaning duties effectively.
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Adhere to the designated work schedule.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Work within company policies to achieve sales objectives.
  • Perform tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Report any incidents without delay.
  • Stay informed about company updates.
Customer Interaction:
  • Deliver prompt and friendly service to all customers.
  • Follow the company's appearance standards.
  • Warmly greet customers upon entry.
  • Process transactions with accuracy.
  • Assist customers with their inquiries and needs.
  • Inform customers about ongoing promotions.
  • Express appreciation to customers for their business.
  • Effectively manage and resolve customer complaints.
Inventory and Cash Management:
  • Handle cash and inventory in accordance with company protocols.
  • Safeguard company assets consistently.
  • Notify the Store Manager of any damaged products.
Merchandising:
  • Ensure shelves and displays are well-stocked and organized.
  • Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
  • Verify that product pricing is accurate.
Store Maintenance:
  • Keep the store clean and orderly at all times.
  • Monitor refrigeration units for proper function.
  • Clean various areas and equipment within the store.
  • Promptly report any maintenance concerns.
Food Service Compliance:
  • Ensure adherence to food service regulations.
  • Address any concerns regarding food quality.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety.
  • Follow established food handling protocols.
Additional Duties:
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by the Store Manager.
Work Environment:
  • Understand the work environment to perform job functions effectively.
