About the Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our team at the Surgical Hospital of Oklahoma LLC. As a key member of our Central Service department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient processing of medical instruments and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform case pull functions to ensure timely preparation of instruments for surgical procedures.
  • Determine the most appropriate case carts for specialty procedures and build them according to established protocols.
  • Dispatch case carts to ensure they are available for use in surgical/clinical procedures.
  • Perform record-keeping functions, including processing, sterilization, quality assurance, and inventory control.
  • Order and stock supplies as needed to maintain adequate levels.
  • Participate in in-service education to stay up-to-date on the latest techniques and best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience in central service/sterile processing areas and successful completion of a recognized training program with certification in central service/sterile processing.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform duties while standing, sitting, stooping, and reaching for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a continual basis.
  • Ability to push, pull, and navigate carts weighing up to 200 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to perform the basic functions of the job.
