We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Paving Operations Manager to join our team at Millstone Weber LLC. The successful candidate will assist the Paving Operations Manager in coordinating paving resources to meet project needs and work closely with paving crews to procure the tools and materials needed for each project.
Key Responsibilities- Project Coordination: Assist in ensuring the safety of crew members and participate in safety talks to maintain a safe working environment.
- Resource Management: Assist in enforcing company direction, policy, and procedures to ensure efficient resource allocation.
- Plan Development: Assist in developing and managing concrete paving plans and schedules for all projects, ensuring timely completion and quality delivery.
- Procurement: Assist Facilities Manager with procuring tools for paving crews as needed, and coordinate the ordering and delivery of Construction Materials.
- Financial Management: Monitor and help manage production costs, review goals, and evaluate actual performance with field personnel.
- Communication: Assist with Pre-Activity meetings for concrete paving operations, review Timecards of Paving Foreman and Superintendents, and review and approve invoices.
- Collaboration: Assist POM as needed with advising Estimating Department on constructability questions and attending concrete paving bid reviews.
- Education: Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum five (5) years of heavy construction experience, with experience with heavy highway, airport, and DOD paving preferred.
- Skills: Ability to problem solve and think clearly in intense situations, deal effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals, and work independently to resolve practical problems.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work in an outside environment, exposure to all weather conditions and temperature extremes, and site-specific exposure to hazardous materials requiring proper use of Personal Protective Equipment.
