Support Services Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated Support Services Specialist to join our team at Safe and Secure Healthcare. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional care and support to others.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, be patient, empathetic, and have a genuine desire to help others. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and prior experience in direct care or support roles is preferred but not necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with daily activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, eating, and mobility.
- Encourage independence by supporting individuals in developing living skills such as meal preparation, household chores, and money management.
- Help individuals achieve their personal goals outlined in their Individual Service Plan (ISP) by providing guidance, encouragement, and positive reinforcement.
- Facilitate social interactions, leisure activities, and recreational outings to promote community engagement and a healthy social life.
- Ensure the well-being and safety of individuals by monitoring health conditions, administering medications as needed, and assisting with medical appointments.
- Document services provided, including daily logs, progress notes, and incident reports as required.
Qualifications:
- American Sign Language Certification REQUIRED
- Medication Administration Certification Category I REQUIRED
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience in direct care or support roles (preferred but not required)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others
