Job Summary:

USI Holdings Corporation is seeking a Claims Assistant to support our claims administration functions for clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for routine tasks, established projects, and routine problem-solving in support of claims. This role will assist in claim administration functions, including claim reporting, data entry, and file maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers and adjusters.
  • Report basic claims and use basic features of carrier/TPA claim management systems.
  • Participate in claims denial review, reservation of rights review, and claim reporting.
  • Assist in entering claims data on behalf of field adjusters.
  • Maintain claims file database on agency management system.
  • Proofread documents for accuracy and completeness.

Requirements:

  • 1 year + of experience interacting with people or customers.
  • High school diploma or graduate equivalent degree required.
  • Basic knowledge of claims function and processes a plus.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Capacity for analytical thinking and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
  • Ability to follow policies, procedures, and regulations.
