Seeking a Project Engineer for a leading energy construction company based in Portsmouth NH.

The ideal candidate has 15 years experience working within the construction or utility industry. You are proactive a team player and able to perform independently.

This role provides ample learning opportunities allowing you to gain handson experience and identify trends that help keep the project team on track for more entrylevel Project Engineers.

What you will do:

Develop project schedules and processes for cuttingedge overhead transmission projects. The Project Engineer will collaborate with functional leads and project managers engaging in both office and fieldwork to identify critical and nearcritical paths.
  • Monitor and control project expenditures ensuring accurate recording of tickets invoices and claims from suppliers vendors and subcontractors.
  • Provide planning and cost control support for all projects including variation reporting contract progress monitoring and customer billing preparation.
  • Assist with preconstruction tasks such as markout requests job kickoffs utility work packages and permitting.
  • Capture and record data including timesheets crew locations billing asbuilt records and materials.
  • Manage and schedule project activities ensuring timely execution and monitoring.
  • Utilize productive reports from the project management system (ViewPoint) for effective project implementation.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to resolve issues and ensure project completion.
  • Report on project costs monthly to ensure expenditures align with the project budget.
  • Attend and contribute to customer meetings gaining exposure to client interactions and project negotiations.


Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office for project documentation and reporting.
  • Experience in the areas of budgeting financial reporting and cost tracking.
  • Have an advanced knowledge of Excel data manipulation and spreadsheet design to communicate results.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
