Job Summary

This position is located in FEMA's Regional Offices, Region 7, Mitigation Division. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge, skills, and experience sufficient to perform work requiring general knowledge of Federal, state, and local grants administration requirements, the ability to express complex, controversial, and technical ideas and concepts concisely, orally and in writing, and the ability to analyze data and develop reports for internal and external communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting grant management and closeout activities for HMA grants such as review of project applications, cost overruns, modifications, extensions, and appeals.
  • Monitoring the status of submitted HMA project applications and funded projects by tracking grant activities and evaluating their progress.
  • Providing technical assistance to state officials, project applicants, and sub-applicants regarding the grants and closeout processes.
What You'll Need to Succeed
  • One full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position.
  • Measuring and evaluating programs commensurate to the federal, state, or local level to determine compliance with rules and regulations.
