About the Role:

New River Electrical Corporation is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Facilities Maintenance Assistant. This role involves performing a variety of tasks to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our campus facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the building and grounds by performing janitorial and maintenance duties, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks as scheduled to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
  • Assist in managing vendors and purchasing supplies to support facility maintenance.
  • Work closely with the Building Maintenance Supervisor to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Perform light repairs, drywall repair, and painting as needed.
  • Record keeping of tasks and preventive maintenance to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Upkeep of landscaping and snow removal to maintain a safe and attractive environment.
  • Coordinate with contractors working on property to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Assemble and move office furniture and other office materials as needed.

Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • General maintenance skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and keep accurate records.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
