Job Overview

As part of the UC College of Medicine, renowned for its excellence in training healthcare professionals and pioneering research, we are seeking a full-time Clinical Research Professional or Senior Research Professional. This role is essential in providing technical support and managing various clinical research initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and motivated individual, ready to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and oversee clinical research projects.
  • Evaluate potential study participants based on established criteria.
  • Collaborate with investigators to document and assess adverse events and treatment responses.
  • Facilitate data collection for proposals, reports, and publications.
  • Conduct routine clinical procedures as necessary.
  • Coordinate patient care and follow-up in relation to research studies.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, federal laws, and institutional policies.
  • Maintain essential regulatory documentation and prepare submissions for Institutional Review Boards (IRB).
  • Draft informed consent forms and comprehension assessments.
  • Act as a liaison among medical staff, university departments, and external partners.
  • Ensure research personnel complete all required training.
  • Provide expertise and consultation within the clinical research domain.
  • Perform additional duties as required by departmental needs.
Qualifications

For Clinical Research Professional:

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Five years of relevant experience or equivalent specialized training may substitute for educational requirements.
Experience
  • Minimum of one year of related experience.
  • Clinical procedural experience is preferred for nursing-focused roles.

For Senior Clinical Research Professional:

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Seven years of relevant experience or equivalent specialized training may substitute for educational requirements.
Experience
  • Minimum of three years of related experience.
  • Clinical procedural experience is preferred for nursing-focused roles.
Additional Skills

Experience in an academic or clinical environment within the area of specialization is highly regarded.

Work Environment
  • Primarily sedentary work.
