Cognitive Neuroscience Research Specialist – NeuroTech X

Job Overview:
The Cognitive Neuroscience Research Specialist will spearhead and assist in various physician-led translational research initiatives within the realms of neurosurgery, neurology, pain management, and behavioral health.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, review, and facilitate the execution of scientific physiological neuroscience studies focusing on health outcomes.
  • Utilize human models to assess both short-term and long-term health impacts of medical interventions.
  • Support investigators in the formulation and implementation of research protocols concerning physiology and outcomes.
  • Gather physiological and behavioral data from human participants.
  • Operate and maintain both standard and specialized equipment to evaluate the results of interventions.
  • Assist in data and statistical analysis.
  • Prepare, review, and submit technical reports, presentations, and publications.
  • Contribute to the development of proposal applications for various physiological, psychological, medical, and outcome studies.
  • Collaborate with the Innovations department to facilitate industry-sponsored trials.
  • Coordinate communication among physicians, nursing staff, the Innovations department, and administration regarding research projects.
  • Lead study development, including IRB proposals and coordinating the approval process for projects.

Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in multidisciplinary team-based collaborations.
  • Ability to engage co-collaborators, including external experts.
  • Proficient understanding of research methodologies.
  • Capable of writing and applying for funding grants.

Additional Skills:
Provide advanced research, clinical, and administrative support for studies, including preparing and delivering presentations, analyzing and interpreting data, and collaborating with principal investigators on manuscripts and scientific articles. Must be able to work independently and report in a matrix structure. Ability to plan, implement, and sustain change is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:
Certification as a Clinical Research Professional or similar credential is advantageous. A Master's degree or PhD in physiology or human biology, with a focus on neuroscience, is preferred.
