Position Overview

The UC College of Medicine, one of the oldest medical schools in the nation, is seeking a dedicated Clinical Research Professional or Senior Research Professional. This role involves providing technical support and managing various aspects of clinical research projects. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and self-driven individual who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and oversee clinical research initiatives.
  • Evaluate potential study participants based on established criteria.
  • Collaborate with investigators to document and assess adverse events and treatment responses.
  • Facilitate data collection for proposals, reports, and publications.
  • Conduct routine clinical procedures as necessary.
  • Coordinate patient care and follow-up in alignment with research protocols.
  • Ensure adherence to contractual obligations, federal regulations, and university policies.
  • Maintain essential regulatory documentation and prepare submissions for Institutional Review Boards (IRB).
  • Draft informed consent forms and comprehension assessments.
  • Act as a liaison among medical staff, university departments, and external partners.
  • Ensure research personnel complete required training.
  • Serve as a resource or consultant in areas of clinical expertise.
  • Perform additional duties as required by departmental needs.
Qualifications

For Clinical Research Professional:

Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Five years of pertinent work experience or equivalent specialized training may substitute for educational requirements.
Experience Requirements
  • At least one year of related experience.
  • Clinical procedural experience is required for nursing-focused roles.

For Senior Clinical Research Professional:

Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Seven years of pertinent work experience or equivalent specialized training may substitute for educational requirements.
Experience Requirements
  • At least three years of related experience.
  • Clinical procedural experience is required for nursing-focused roles.
Additional Preferred Qualifications

Experience in academic or clinical settings related to clinical specialization is highly regarded.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting are expected.
