About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Perfusionist to join our team at the University of Michigan. As a Perfusionist, you will be responsible for providing cardiopulmonary bypass support in the cardiac surgery operating room. This is a critical role that requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work under stressful situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide cardiopulmonary bypass support in the cardiac surgery operating room
  • Monitor and control extracorporeal perfusion equipment during cardiopulmonary bypass surgery
  • Administer prescription drugs, blood products, and anesthetic agents through the extracorporeal circuit
  • Assist with inventory management and assigned projects in a collaborative cardiovascular team

Requirements:

  • Graduated from an accredited Perfusion Training Program, with a Master's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Current certification as a Clinical Perfusionist by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion
  • Strong analytical skills, effective communication, and ability to work under stressful situations
