Job Summary

Henry Ford College is seeking a qualified Adjunct Faculty Instructor to teach Medical Assistant and Medical Insurance Specialist courses. The successful candidate will have a strong background in medical assisting and/or medical insurance billing and coding, and will be able to effectively communicate with students and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Medical Assistant and Medical Insurance Specialist courses, including classroom and laboratory instruction
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students and the healthcare industry
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to students
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide initiatives to improve student success and retention
Requirements
  • Master's degree or higher in a related field
  • Current certification, registration, and/or licensure in medical assisting and/or medical insurance billing and coding
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical assisting and/or medical insurance billing and coding
