Position Overview

The role of the Manufacturing Engineer at Harvard Integrations involves providing comprehensive engineering support for laser technologies. This includes tasks such as nesting, optimization, and troubleshooting to enhance manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engineering Support: Deliver all necessary engineering assistance for laser operations, ensuring efficient nesting functions to optimize laser performance.
  • Liaison Role: Act as the primary connection between the manufacturing and engineering teams, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  • Troubleshooting: Address and resolve product design challenges encountered during manufacturing.
  • Research & Development: Lead initiatives to explore new methods, processes, and equipment, developing prototypes to validate concepts for stakeholders.
  • Safety Engineering: Provide support for engineering projects focused on safety enhancements.
  • Sales Support: Assist the sales team by creating preliminary design layouts and interpreting customer and regulatory specifications.
  • Procedure Development: Create and implement procedures for various departments to streamline operations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Engage in ongoing research to identify special design requirements and customer needs.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other related software.
  • A solid understanding of Lean and 5S principles.
  • Strong mathematical abilities, including the capacity to perform structural calculations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Educational Background

A Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline is required, such as Mechanical, Structural, Civil, Industrial, or a related field.

This position requires a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual who is open-minded and ready to take on various responsibilities as assigned.
