Equipment Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled Equipment Operator to join our team at Backhaus Excavation and Underground. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery, including excavators, skidloaders, loaders, rollers, and other equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in various weather conditions.
- Use equipment to dig trenches for underground water, sewer, and storm sewer systems.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure proper functioning.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment, with a minimum of 2 years experience.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of equipment operation.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. A CDL is also highly recommended.
- Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently in various weather conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Highly recommended: ability to read plans, set up laser, and check grade.
