FUNCTION:

This role, under the guidance of the Department Lead, is integral to various production sectors including Machining, Fabrication, Cleanroom, and Coiling. The position focuses on the production process utilizing high purity plastic methodologies and ensuring project completion. This hands-on role involves the creation and development of custom-designed products for clients. The specialist will employ a range of coiling, machine shop, and fabrication tools, alongside advanced technology systems, to achieve precise quality standards in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and programming.

This position requires versatility, as it may involve field service tasks for clients. The individual is expected to leverage their acquired skills and adapt to a specialized niche, allowing for professional growth and development within FusionHPX.

Each level of this position is designed to foster long-term development and skill enhancement, covering areas such as deburring, machining (Lathe, Milling, Manual, CNC), coiling techniques, cleanroom protocols, plastic welding, and field service operations. The role also entails mentoring less experienced team members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Execute manual craftsmanship using provided materials and a variety of shop tools and technical systems, ensuring precision and accuracy in alignment with client specifications.
  2. Guarantee that all materials processed meet or surpass FusionHPX's high purity craftsmanship standards, with meticulous attention to detail.
  3. Adopt a continuous improvement mindset to ensure clarity in job orders and documentation for effective task execution.
  4. Collaborate with team members from supporting departments to address design, material, tool, and technical system challenges.
  5. Maintain a proactive approach to ensure the highest quality of work is achieved before transitioning completed tasks to subsequent stages.
  6. Uphold a clean and safe working environment, ensuring tools are maintained in optimal condition and reporting any defective or unsafe equipment immediately.
  7. Exhibit a flexible learning attitude and a commitment to assisting colleagues in a professional manner, with a focus on customer-centric support for client needs.
  8. Perform additional duties as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • GED or High School Diploma.
  • Completion of trade school in precision technology or manufacturing.
  • Over 10 years of experience in the plastic welding trade.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of measurements, blueprint reading, quality standards, and mathematical skills.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Russian is advantageous.
