Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Technician to join our team at Transtech Engineering Consultants I in Hampton, VA. The successful candidate will perform a combination of equipment operations, preventive maintenance and manual labor tasks in roadway maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, dump trucks, loaders, motor-graders and tractors/bush-hogs.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend lifespan.
  • Engage in manual labor tasks including flagging traffic, setting up work zones and traffic control, cutting brush, cleaning ditches/debris and patching potholes.

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.

Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
