Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Front Desk Associate to join our team at JWCH Institute, Inc. in Downtown Los Angeles. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and make a real difference in the lives of our clients.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing front lobby operations, and serving as the first point of contact for our organization. You will be the face of our organization, guiding visitors to their destinations, handling phone calls, and overseeing program spaces. Your attention to detail and ability to multitask will be essential in maintaining a safe and secure environment for everyone. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the overall success of our mission by providing high-quality support and services to our clients, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities:
  1. Greet and engage visitors warmly and professionally.
  2. Skillfully guide and direct individuals entering the front reception lobby to their intended destinations.
  3. Enforce boundaries tactfully and assertively, ensuring appropriate behavior and access while maintaining a consistently friendly demeanor.
  4. Observe and assess behavior in the front reception area, promptly reporting any suspicious or inappropriate conduct to security personnel.
  5. Answer incoming calls in a positive and respectful manner that reflects positively on the program.
  6. Accurately record messages and provide important general information to inquiries.
  7. Log building status updates and promptly communicate with designated personnel, including DHS facilities contacts and the Program Manager.
  8. Regularly perform hallway and exterior building checks, meticulously logging findings.
  9. Maintain comprehensive monthly safety and required program reports and logs.
  10. Share patient information exclusively with authorized personnel directly involved in patient care.
  11. Safeguard all documents containing patient identifiers with utmost confidentiality.
  12. Proactively identify potential safety concerns and promptly report them to your supervisor.
  13. Participate in assigned staff, quality improvement, and in-service training meetings as required.
  14. Contribute to safety programs and potentially serve on emergency response teams.
  15. Demonstrate courtesy, compassion, and mutual respect in all interactions.
  16. Perform other tasks as needed.
